An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Assistant is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve a website's visibility and ranking in search engine results pages (SERPs). Their primary objective is to increase organic traffic and leads to a website through optimizing content and technical elements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical audits and analysis of website architecture, content, and backlinks to identify opportunities for improvement, using Semrush and Screaming Frog and other related software
- Perform keyword research and analysis to identify high-value keywords and opportunities for optimization
- Changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords
- Optimize website content, including titles, descriptions, images, and meta tags, to improve search engine visibility and click-through rates
- Create content outlines and briefs on research with the help of AI tools
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and implement content marketing strategies to attract backlinks and improve search engine rankings
- Monitor and report on website analytics, including traffic, ranking, and conversion data, to identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and search engine algorithms to ensure that our website is optimized for search engines
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working in a similar role
- Ability to deliver results using SEO technical, content, link building and acquisition strategy skills
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, ranking factors, and search engine algorithms
- Knowledge of CMS & Commerce platforms, including WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate priorities and manage multiple technical projects
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Experience with international SEO and multilingual websites is a plus
- Knowledge of on page, off page, google analytics, google tag, google looker, SEMrush, screaming frog
